November Update

e-referrals Go Live has been deferred to Spring 2015 leaving most wondering if it will ever happen. Technical issues around the stability of the switchover appear to be the problem and given the original stability issues when Choose and Book was first launched it has been a wise move on the part of the project team as any serious user issues will when e-Referrals is launched will be pounced upon by critics of the whole system.

Go Live is planned to be a seamless experience for users with only cosmetic changes to give the system a more modern and less cluttered appearance, behind the scenes system interfacing has been greatly improved to enable seamless transfer and interchange between systems.

Currently the only advise is to ensure that housekeeping is up to date, which is a task for Sevice Definers to complete to ensure any redundant clinic types have been removed from services and updated to the relevant replacement clinic type.
